See the library’s new 3-D printer in action! Using Tinkercad, in this 4 session class, learn how to turn an idea into a model to be printed on a 3-D printer. Each participant will then have a chance to create an object to be printed.

Come and learn about this new and emerging technology. We'll discuss the basic of how a 3D printer works, what it's capable of and what it might be able to do in the future. We will demonstrate the software and some basic manipulations that can be done to objects prior to being printed. Then you will see the 3-D printer in action and check out some 3-D printed objects we've made.

You must attend both of the sessions to receive credit for the course. Course completion entitles you to insurance discounts and point reduction on your driving record. Check or Money Order only, payable to AARP. There is a fee of $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. In-person registration is required. A fee is due at the time of registration. Payment methods may be restricted. For South Country Library card holders only. Out of district residents may register beginning one week before date of program.
